Monica Duran for HD-24

“In 2015, Monica was a leader of the campaign for Wheat Ridge Issue 300, a grassroots uprising of citizens pushing back against out-of-control development that was threatening her community’s quality of life.  Monica then served on the Wheat Ridge City Council and was also a Director of the Wheat Ridge Fire Protection Board. Monica’s work in the community also includes serving as a board member for the Jefferson Center for Mental Health, the Wheat Ridge Planning Commission, the West Metro Veteran Resource Network, and Heading Home, an organization dedicated to ending homelessness. She has also been involved with Wheat Ridge Partnered in Faith as well as the Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival board. Monica is a proud member of the Jefferson County Democratic Latino Initiative (JDLI).

As our state representative, Monica Duran has been a champion for Colorado working families – standing up to big corporate special interests and helping to level the playing field for people working to feed their families. “
